I am writing this review about four years after having purchased this product. It has been in constant use since I bought it, and I couldn't be happier with it. What prompted me to finally leave this review is, after having moved into a new house, I plugged this unit into an outlet and the unit immediately made a LOUD popping noise. Scared me half to death! It wouldn't work at all after that event. It turns out that the outlet was carrying 240 volts instead of the typical 120v. For those that don't know, that's dangerous! Had I plugged my computer into the outlet instead of the surge protector, I would have lost the computer and everything on it. I'm so thankful that the surge protector saved me having to replace a computer. The cost of replacing a computer and all the files on it FAR outweighs the cost of replacing a surge protector. But here's the best part...I contacted Tripp Lite to let them know what happened and they told me that the unit was still under warranty and they sent me a replacement for free. No charge! I didn't even have to pay shipping! I am so impressed with the quality of the product and of their customer service, and with the warranty they cover their products with. Consider me a Tripp Lite customer for life.
