Okay this thing is priceless to me honestly and I wish I had known that there was a wireless fence system that you didn't have to tear up your yard to use ages ago because it could have saved me and my family from some serious heartbreak. We had 2 husky babies that we adopted from our local shelters and one of them our 6 month old male named Lycan was a wanderer. We could never keep him in the yard, one day he was outside playing with my husband and kids while they were washing the car and was fatally hit and killed by a truck not more than a 100 yards from our house. I cried, my kids cried, it was devastating. Safe to say that I invested in this thing literally the next day and it has been one of my favorite purchases I've ever made for our 4-legged family members. You can set the range to fit your yard and keep all your family members safe! My husky is a stubborn girl but it only took literally 2 time sof her shocking herself on the 2 setting for her to figure out she didn't like that one bit! (Of course I tested this on myself first) felt like a shock you get from wearing socks on carpet. Plus my girl has very long thick hair I think more than anything it just annoyed the heck out of her! But nonetheless, it was effective and it has done its job perfectly! She's also not afraid to leave the yard on leash she knows if me or my husband are leading her out of the yard on her leash that her collar is off and she's allowed to cross the boundary for a walk! Love it and I wish I had heard of this thing sooner it took about 15 minutes to set the entire thing up and probably 3 days for my dog to be completely trained. Like I said lifesaver!
