Lived out of it for 5 months on the Pacific Crest Trail
I used this for my Pacific Crest Trail hike. I used it twice a day for 1800 miles of trail. I used only the pot and got rid of everything else to save weight. I used it with the Coleman Peak 1 Butane stove for all my meals. The lid was snug trapping heat expediting boiling. I never had any issues burning my hands with the handles. I heated water for coffee, ramen soup, and my daily Knorr pasta/rice dish. The pot was a perfect size for one person dishes on my backpack trip. I think people are right to be concerned about the plastic handles when it comes to campfires. I did cook over campfires on a few occasions. You certainly need to keep the handles away from flames and avoid bigger fires that may wrap over the lid. I took these common sense precautions and my pot held up fine. I was very happy with it. The weight rivals much more expensive titanium pots at a substantially lower price.
