When shopping for a phone system, I was looking for many specific features: one base with multiple cordless headsets, call conference ability, intercom, lighted display/keypad, speakerphone on each handset, and headset jack. I've discovered that most phones that have these features usually have a built-in answering machine, which I didn't need. If I wanted a phone system without an answering machine, I was disappointed to find that I would have to sacrifice some of the features I wanted. Then I found this phone system, and after some consideration, purchased it. Having used the phone system for a month now, I have been very pleased with its performance, not to mention all the features I've been looking for but without the answering machine. Calls are clear from any place in the house and outside in our yard, the intercom system has come in very handy in our two-story house (no more yelling our daugther's name to get her to come downstairs), and the batteries seem to last a long time. I work from home, and am on the phone a number of hours per day, using an attached headset (which is not included in this system). Speakerphones, found on each handset, are loud and clear. Other features that have proven very useful are the "global" address book (add a name/phone number on one handset and it will show up on the others), and the "quiet time" setting (handset will not ring during specified hours of the day). I am very satisfied with this phone system, and highly recommend it. In fact, we are about to purchase an additional handset to expand it even further!
