Basic Digital Clock With Up To 5 Daily Alarms and One Timer
First, ignore the description. This is a simple time-of-day clock with five settable repeating daily alarms and a countdown interval timer. The English instruction sheet is a mystery. Here's my shot at a quick-and dirty manual:
Digital Clock With Up To 5 Daily Alarms
Functions
- Time-of-day clock with either 12 or 24-hour display
- Up to 5 separately set daily alarms
- One countdown timer (23 h, 59 m max.)
NOTE: Icon characters in this document, if they display at all on your device, only approximate the icons on the clock,. FYI: The alarm icon is a bell, 🔔. The countdown timer icon is an hourglass, ⌛.
Mode Selection
Briefly press the MODE key to change the display mode, which cycles through the following states:
- Time display (colon, ":" flashes, and all active alarm icons are displayed)
- Time of day alarm 1 (steady colon, 🔔1 displayed)
- TOD alarm 2 (🔔2)
- TOD alarm 3 (🔔3)
- TOD alarm 4 (🔔4)
- TOD alarm 5 (🔔5)
- Countdown timer (⌛)
Time-of-Day Setup
Briefly press MODE repeatedly to select the time display mode (the colon, ":" flashes, active alarm icons, if any, are displayed).
To alternate between 12-hour or 24-hour display, briefly press the HOUR button when the time is displayed. A "P" is displayed to indicate PM in 12-hour mode.
NOTE: Between 1:00 and 11:59 AM, there is no visible difference between 12- and 24-hour display, so avoid pressing the HOUR button in time-display mode in the morning!
To set the time of day, select the time display mode (colon flashing), then press and hold the MODE button for two seconds, until the numbers begin flashing. Then briefly press, or press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons as needed until the correct time is displayed. Then press MODE briefly to store the setting.
Daily Alarm Setting
Briefly press MODE repeatedly to select the desired alarm (the colon is steady, only one alarm icon, 🔔#, is displayed)
To set the time for the displayed alarm, press and hold the MODE button for two seconds, until the numbers begin flashing. Then briefly press, or press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons as needed until the desired alarm time is displayed. Then press MODE briefly to store the setting.
The 🔔 icon for every active time-of-day alarm will be shown when you select the normal time display. The alarm sounds four-beep tones for one minute when the normal time display reaches one of the stored alarm times. Also the alarm's icon flashes. While the alarm is sounding, press any button to silence it. Each daily alarm will sound again at the same time every day unless its setting is cleared or changed.
To clear a previously set alarm, briefly press MODE repeatedly to display the alarm, then press MINUTE to clear the alarm. If desired, you can press MINUTE again later in an alarm's display to restore its previous setting.
Countdown Alarm
Briefly press MODE repeatedly to select the countdown timer (the colon is steady, the countdown timer icon, ⌛, is displayed)
To set the interval time in the countdown timer display, press and hold the MODE button for two seconds, until the numbers reset to 0:00 and begin flashing. Then briefly press, or press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons as needed until the desired countdown interval is displayed. (The maximum is 23h, 59m.) Then press MODE briefly to store the setting.
Now press the MINUTE button to start the countdown timer, Pressing the MINUTE button again with the countdown timer displayed alternately stops and starts it. The countdown timer icon, ⌛, flashes to indicate the timer is running. The remaining hours and minutes are displayed until the count reaches one minute, then only seconds are displayed.
The countdown timer continues running if the MODE button is used to select another display mode. In the other display modes the countdown icon, ⌛, is steady if the timer is running and not visible if it is stopped.
The alarm sounds two-beep tones for one minute when the countdown timer reaches 0:00. While the alarm is sounding, press any button to silence it. Once silenced, the timer restores the previously set interval and waits to be started again.
And, since I went to the trouble of checking, if a daily alarm and the countdown alarm both trip within the same minute, the first one's distinct tone stops when the second one trips. If they happen to trip within the same second or so, it would be easy to miss one or the other.
Sit vis vobiscum!
Marcus
