Rusty is an 11lb angry bag of pure meat. He can go zero to MACH 3 in 2.8 seconds, and change directions on a dime. He once “single handedly” took on the neighborhood 40lb beagle, was winning, until the beagle simply picked him up by the ear.. If you have a “vicious creature” like Rusty, this harness is definitely for you. So, he was right on the edge of XS/S. I ordered the XS and still have some room to expand a bit. This is well made. Point blank, and you can tell. Sturdy buckles, well padded and supportive for when he runs out of leash and gets whiplash. (Not kidding.) Love it.. ordering a back up harness, and one for my lazy dog.. will be nice to be able to grab them by the handle when needed.. a must have.
