I previously had another expensive flat iron.... can't remember the name and it broke after 7 years of use, but I must say that I am loving the way that this flat iron works. It glides through your hair and leaves you with shiny and straight hair. It curls well also. I love the auto shut off function especially when I'm running around and forget to unplug it. This iron gets very hot and does include a glove. I used to use the glove but rarely do anymore as I don't use the highest temp unless trying to my daughter's hair. We have two different textures.... my hair is relaxed and hers natural (Very fine, 3c,4a). The best part is that iron costs way less than my previous iron and works twice as good. I may invest in another one but smaller.
