Perfect size for preschool or a long flight
This is a perfect sized backpack for a preschooler! We bought this for our toddler son to take on an international flight but are also planning on using it for when he starts preschool. Size: Enough space to fit a spiral-bound notebook (see photos). A standard-sized folder will also fit (I tested it) but the corners may have to bed a bit from the curved shape of the backpack. The front pocket has enough space to hold some snacks and a pencil/crayon pouch. See photo for how it compares size-wise to a SkipHop "lunchie" bag. Quality: The canvas material feels sturdy enough and is maybe a bit thinner than Jansport backpacks. The inside is coated with a waxy surface. The bottom (base) of the backpack is made of the same canvase as the rest of the backpack, just black, so it isn't reinforced. The padding on the straps is decent. The zippers (double zipper for the main compartment, which I love) feel sturdy. Overall, a decent backpack for a toddler, as long as you aren't going to load it with heavy items. The quality and straps aren't built for that. We bought it for a great price (under $10) and I think it's an adorable "adult-style" backpack for your little one, perfect for carrying a blanket, some snacks, a coloring book, crayons and toys.
