I’m writing a review for the IPL (the “laser” as some are calling it). I’ve never used one before so I have nothing else to compare it to, but this is my fourth week using the IPL and so far it appears to be working. I’ve been primarily focusing on my under arms and using it per the instructions once a week. There is some hair growth at this phase, but the instructions say it can take 6 to 8 treatments to really see the reduction, however I have seen a significant reduction in regrowth in the past couple of weeks and what does grow back is finer and patchy. I will try to write an update after a few more months, but if the trend continues, I’ll have no regrowth or at least very little by then. The IPL is very easy to use: plug it in and pick your area, click the button and you’re zapping away. I’ve found that turning the head by 90 degrees helps with coverage for odd-shaped or difficult-to-reach areas. It takes a few minutes for each underarm but it isn’t a ridiculously long time. You definitely want to look away before pressing the button (it’s bright even when pressed firmly into your skin). There is a warm sensation felt when the light goes on but it isn’t terrible and it’s over before you really know it’s there. Move slowly to be sure you don’t skip a spot. Overall, this product seems to be working as stated so far. Again, I’ll try to post an update after a few months but I’m very optimistic. UPDATE: I LOVE this machine! I’ve been using it now for almost 6 weeks and I have almost NO hair growth under my arms! There is literally almost no hair left and I am beyond pleased! (And I’ve also noticed that my underarms hardly have an odor anymore either....weird but pleasant side effect? I’d guess it’s because the odor-causing bacteria have nothing to live on if the hair follicles are dead/damaged??) If you are willing to take a chance, this IPL is totally worth taking a chance on! I was skeptical at first, but now I’m convinced that it really does work!
