I LOVE how this looks and have received many compliments. I was able to install them myself and it doesn’t look DIY. I am all for shortcuts, but most of all, wash your walls first. The walls are dustier than you think and any dust will make the planks fall off. As you install the vinyl, you can slightly stretch it to cover minimal gaps, BUT, it seems to shrink back to original size after a few days, so take the time to lift it off and reapply. (They remove perfectly and restock just fine!) I trimmed the corners and around the base molding with an exacto blade and that seemed to work well. Our walls are fairly textured, and although the texture is visible through the vinyl if you really look for it, it adhered nicely and still looks great. I had originally ordered based on a review that said there was 20sq ft per box. After installing I realized there was less than half that per box and had to reorder, doubling the cost. That was disappointing (and expensive). Tip: there are only 8 patterns/colors. Turn some upside down to get more random looking effects as some patterns have knots and markings on them.
