When I opened the package, I was so disappointed in this bag. For one thing, it looked smaller than I expected and I felt sure it wouldn't hold enough. The side pockets were cinched tight with elastic and I was sure my phone (a Samsung S7 in a case) would never fit. The zippers were half-zipped and I had to unzip them and then rezip them to get them right, and I was sure they would be flimsy. And the strap was not made of the same material as the rest of the bag but instead some shinier material that I felt sure would twist and slip and generally be a pain in my behind. I was wrong about all of that. It holds plenty; I have no where near filled it. My phone fits, albeit snugly...but then again I don't want it fitting loosely and falling out. I would almost say it fits perfectly. The strap has not twisted and honestly it is the least slippery strap I've had in a long time. It stays up! I've only had it a week or two, but none of the zippers have shown any signs of failing. The pulls themselves are metal. The zipper compartment on the back is the exact right size to hold a standard sized sheet of paper folded in half. The slip pockets in the main compartment are slightly larger than in any other purse I own and this makes it easier to get things out of them. (I carry an iPod in one and a set of ear buds and a charger in the other.) I purchased the grape colored one, with reservations because colors are iffy due to differences in computer monitors, perhaps purples most of all, but the color is lovely and rich. There are no funny smells, no frayed or ragged stitching. It stands up and doesn't slump. The main compartment opens wide enough I can see what is in it all the way to the bottom. So far it has not picked up any grunge from sliding around the floor of my car. It is a good solid casual bag for the price. I am pleased with it.
