This is a wonderful product. I finally figured a few things out with using diffusers.
First...you get what you pay for when it comes to oils. You must absolutely spend good money to buy good oils, otherwise their scents dissipate after a few minutes of use, where as the higher qualities oils last for about an hour.
The next point I'd like to make is while it has a 2-4-6 hour setting, don't count on any aroma coming out after the first hour or so.
The intent is to fill the reservoir fully so you don't have to fill it as frequently. What I find better is after ever 2 hour cycle put 5-6 more drops of oil in.
Of course, you still get the wonderful benefits of humidifying your home if you leave it on for 6 hours.
A third point is you must absolutely use distilled water. (I'm not so sure about reverse osmosis water). If you use regular tap water, eventually your diffuser WILL get fouled up and an ugly reddish hued mold will develop within, possibly even a slight slime.
Using distilled water is essential to better-ensure the unit's functionality.
One final point is on the removal of the lid. When you remove it, be careful because moisture condensed on the inside of the cover. As you remove the cover, take care to allow some drops to enter back into the diffuser before refilling.
I originally rated it to "Like (4 stars)", but in reviewing it I realized I do really love it, despite trying hard to never give anything 5 stars.
