My 10 lb dog was such a puller on walks with the old 4-ft leash. The old one was just the standard plain one from a big box store. A trainer suggested I get a leash that was thinner (thicker leashes have thicker clasps which are heavy) and longer (so she has more room to move around me). Upon checking the PetSafe site, they also recommended the same thing the trainer did, so I bought this leash. Magically, she walks a lot better now! I think she used to pull because she wanted to sniff things. Now she has the freedom to sniff while staying relatively close to me. I also like that with a lighter clasp, she's not getting as weighed down as before. This leash has held up through 2 months of continuous use. It's exactly as advertised, nothing more and nothing less. I'm adding a leash sizing chart from the PetSafe site here since Amazon does not include it.
