**UPDATE 4/19/19** I have since moved from an apartment to a my house, and I still use this exact coffee table and it has held up perfectly. I use the lift top very often and it has never failed. Original review: I've had my eye on this table for almost a year before my purchase. I recently moved into my new place and have been furnishing it as I go. Due to some of the negative reviews I've I pushed back this purchase while trying to find a better one. One year later I came right back to it, finally bought it, and I'm very happy with it. I can't complain about the assembly as I had no issues with it and already had another person with me. I would say assembly took us maybe 1 1/2 hours. I was experienced and my boyfriend was not, so there was a bit of a learning curve for him. People complained about the size so I will just state this coffee table is more for smaller spaces (read the dimensions in the description and measure it out. Don't blame the product because you chose not to research your purchase.) The lift top is easy, sturdy, and very convenient.The inside storage is as expected, not much room, but would be ideal for smaller items as in magazines, remotes, even a laptop. Package arrived one day sooner than the estimated soonest delivery day which was very exciting, and every piece was there and in great condition - no cracks, no scuffs, no missing pieces. Each person's experience is different, so don't let someone's bad experience hold you back. If this table seems perfect for your needs I would highly recommend it.
