Skeptical at first as a longtime user of Ring, better pictures and SW integration & Data can be stored locally, FREE, Yes no monthly fee. I have Arlo, Ring, and now, Eufy. Took the Ring out yesterday & happy with Eufy now. Arlo provides basic monitoring service as we can check records for 7 days, which is most the people need. However, Ring has a very different business model as the user can not check the log if not paying monthly fees. If this is the case, they should give the HW for free with a monthly subscription model. Hate the Ring do that. Surprisingly, Eufy (Anker), they are very diligent to fix and update the application and FW of the unit. So, they DO hear and understand customer's needs and concerns. The installation process was not well polished, but, it was very easy & good. The response (connections and delay) is defiantly better than Ring. AI implemented recognition works well. The video quality and accessing log (stored in local, micro SD card) is almost real-time with a good quality video, yes, you can see clearly. Eufy mobile application is lean, but, more straight forward and easy to use. Based on findings and comparisons, strongly suggest Eufy over Ring. Only thing is that the long-term reliability, I will update as we go.
