Great stuff - aggravating labeling
Used it this AM for some buttermilk pancakes, and it provided just the right "tang" you get from buttermilk but without having half a quart left over in the fridge until I toss it in a week or so.
MAJOR AGGRAVATION: the label states that you can make a gallon by adding "3 cups to 3.75 quarts of water."
Why aggravating? Well, the whole point of buying this stuff is to be able to make a cup or two for a recipe, not a gallon, and who in his right mind drinks a gallon of reconstituted buttermilk?!
Second, the calculations to make a cup or two require an engineering degree given the directions for the gallon. It took me a calculator and about five minutes of brain-smoking, mind-melting middle-school math to figure out how many ounces to add to make two cups. The label has huge white space and they could have done us all a real favor by putting precise instructions for making a cup or two or even a quart - instructions that used common and compatible measures - for example: add 4 tablespoons to a cup of water...or whatever.
Ironically, the directions to make one cup are printed on the Amazon listing...but NOT on the label, and it's 4 tablespoons to one cup of water.
