4.75 Stars for an EZ AC Fix
I'm not an expert, so I really liked that the refilling process was simple.
1. Wait until the weather outside is between 75F to 85F (because that's what temperature gauge was calibrated to(some other refrigerants have a variable weather adjustment, but not this company)).
2. Turn your car on, set the AC to full blast and wait a few minutes.
2. Screw the small end of the hose to the refrigerant can head.
3. Attach the big end of the hose to the low side port by holding back the quick release of the hose and then letting go of it when the hose is on the port.
4. Let the gauge measure the pressure. If your gauge is not working correctly, it's probably because your compressor is not spinning (it stops spinning when your car is really low on refrigerant). You need to add a bit of refrigerant at this point just to get a pressure reading.
5. Take the blue cap off the can and spray for a couple minutes. Make sure to have the can UPRIGHT(or as close as you can) and give it a shake once and a while. If your compressor wasn't spinning, it should start now.
6. From time to time, sit back in the car seat and put your hand in front of your AC to see if you're doing everything right. Put a thermometer in the AC vent and measure the temperature if you want to be really accurate.
7. When the gauge's needle is in the blue portion, it's time to stop and remove the hose from the car. Remember that you have to stop spraying and wait a bit for the gauge to measure the pressure again.
What I didn't like about this product is that the hose is really short. I had to have my can tilted at about 50 degrees for it to work. I also didn't like that I had to wait for the temperature to be between 75F and 85F.
Glad I bought this. It was really easy and saved me a trip to a auto garage.
