I'm amazed. Ultrasonic Cleaning really works! I have been using this extensively for 1 week since I had A LOT to clean. My primary purpose for this is GUN PARTS CLEANING (I didn't see many reviews regarding this type of parts cleaning)! It works amazing with Lucas Bore Solvent + Ultrasonic Cleaner. The unit also heats up to the point where the metal is almost too hot to handle, so the heating definitely works to help clean the parts. All you need to do after is give them a wipe down, or a slight scrub, or maybe another round in the cleaner depending on how dirty it originally was. I typically though try to wipe down or pre-clean the parts first, just to make the Lucas Bore Solvent last a bit longer and keep it cleaner for longer, but I definitely do not spend huge efforts or amount of time pre-cleaning, the ultra sonic cleaner will do the job! I have always had troubles cleaning between the rifling of the barrel of the pistols no matter what solutions I used, brushes, swabs, squeegees, etc, and I finally found the answer: Ultrasonic Cleaning! The reason this gets 4 instead of 5 is because you cannot remove the metal basin to wash or clean it, and it's not easy to pour the solution into a bottle to save for the next cleaning, so I have to use a baster (like a turkey baster) to suck the water out and put it in the bottle. It's the easiest and cleanest way I have found, plus doing this after the debris has settled to the bottom ensures that I reuse the good Lucas Bore Solvent without the dirt in it and can last longer. Pros: 1. Decent size for BCGs, Charging Handles, Pistol parts, slides, barrels, triggers, cleaning brushes, things like this. Just can't put an AR15 upper in it or a long barrel obviously. 2. Heating element works! I don't know how, since there is no heat setting, but the solution definitely gets hot! 3. Compact 4. Quiet 5. Removable cord, on/off switch 6. Clear lid to see the action 7. Buttons are durable and will not get wet and stop working. 8. Easy to understand how to it works, even if you decide not to read the manual (but recommended) Cons: 1. Cannot remove the metal basin for washing it out
