My family and I enjoy canoeing every summer. I enjoy taking photos on the river and also need to keep in touch with other family members while we’re out for the afternoon so leaving the phone at home isn’t an option. But constantly taking the phone in and out of the dry bag is a pain. I found myself sometimes leaving the bag open because it was easier to reach in and out of. Now what’s the point of even having a dry bag if you leave it open? This year, I bought myself a small pouch for my phone. When my son saw it, he wanted one for his! So, I came back to Amazon to purchase this two pack for my son and husband. As the instructions advise, I put a piece of paper into the cases and submerged them in a tub of water. After quite a while, with plenty of swishing the water around, I’m happy to report all stayed dry! I do have one complaint about the pouches – the clips can be difficult to use. I accidentally turned one in the wrong direction. Realizing what I did, I tried to correct my mistake and next thing I knew, the clip came right off of the bag! It was easy enough to put back on but I couldn’t help wonder – what if I’d done that in the boat and dropped the clip in the water? Or what if I didn’t put it back correctly and now it leaks? After I replaced the clip, I put it back in the water and found it still very protective, but would feel better if the clips were not removable. The lanyards could also be more substantial – they’re very thin ribbons. But I guess those are easy enough to replace. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
