I got this planter having a 2" rail, but there's two different descriptions, the first says fits 1.25" OR 3.875", which is the correct description, anything sized in between those, you will not get a secure fit, it will wobble. All was not lost, I used 3/4" and 1" adhesive foam weather stripping to create a custom fit, and it fits like a glove, the stripping protects the rail as well. You can also buy adhesive neoprene sheets as thin as 1/16", and 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 to make a secure fit with any rail size 3.875" or less.
