This entire system has maybe $10 worth of materials in it - and that's being generous. And it uses water pretty quickly - I get maybe 6 hours out of a full tank - so not great for overnight use unless you keep water next to it to refill. It is a simple design that keeps whatever is directly in front of it (like within 2-3 feet from it) cooler than the air around you, but it is not cold air. I use it to keep my desk a degree or two cooler than the rest of my house so I don't have to cool an entire house to 78 degrees when I'm in one room for 8-10 hours a day and it works well for that purpose. It's also VERY quiet which is great. It's almost too quiet. I forget to turn it off frequently. I wish it came with a regular plug in addition to the USB. All in all, I'm pleased because it'll more than pay for itself with my electric bill savings and not having to cool my entire house for one room. We'll see if it lasts more than one summer though.
