Highly recommend. Sturdy, durable, nice quality, pics attached to do it yourself.
This heater works really well. I decided to not direct connect the heater to the breaker panel. I opted to buy a 10-3 power cord and attach a 30 Amp lockable plug to it. I bought approx. 10 feet of 3/4 conduit and ran 10-2 wire (black, white, ground) to a box with a 30 Amp receptacle and cover plate attached. I used a double pole 30 amp breaker (240volts) due to the heater being able to draw 3000watts n low and 6000watts on high. The instructions are terrible and also suggest a 35 Amp breaker (instructions say use with 10-2 wire) which requires thicker and more expensive 8-2 wire. (According to the NEC book for electricians). I chose to stick with the 30amp breaker and 10-2 wire as recommend by everyone else that previously installed this heater. I too have not had any false trips of the breaker and everything's works as it should. This heater made my garage a nice 70-75 degrees while the out side temp was a cold 30 degrees. All of the accessories I bought at the big box store and spent about $70. I have included pics so you too can do it yourself. On a scale of 1-10, (10 being most difficult to install), I would rate installing this yourself as a 4, however, if you have never had experience with electrical things, I highly suggest a certified electrician due to 240 volts.
