I use this wifi dongle on a Windows 10 machine. The dongle worked out of box without installing driver but I still downloaded driver from TP Link website and installed it. However I was really disappointed. The wifi connection is very unstable even when my laptop is only 10 ft away from the router with nothing but air in between. I contacted TP Link tech support and the representative asked to me check if the driver was installed correctly from Device Manager page. It turned out that even though I ran the driver installation program from TP Link, somehow the driver was not installed correctly. The device was shown as Realtek instead of TP Link. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. This time it worked. A thumb up to TP Link's quick and available tech support.
