I bought this for my cousin's 3-year-old daughter. When it arrived (in just one day!) I wanted to open it first to check it out. I was surprised by the high quality and attention to detail. My two daughters (ages 8 and 12) started playing with the set and loved it. Now I have to buy two more because each of my daughters want their own set and I need one to give to my cousin's daughter. The brushes it comes with are NOT cheap quality like other similar products. These are REAL high quality brushes; they are very solid and the brushes are VERY soft. You couldn't break them if you tried. The "makeup" is a textured foam that looks real. It is glued in very well so you don't need to worry about the small pieces of foam falling out. This product uses real makeup cases, real brushes, and a nice zippered bag to keep everything in. I can't believe my girls who are 8 and 12 are actually enjoying playing with a fake makeup kit, but they love it. I am so glad that I decided to buy this brand. It makes a great gift for young (and not so young) girls.
