WIPE OFF LIQUIDS!
Definitely worth the price. Assembly is very easy and only took me about half an hour, tops. Warning, do NOT let rubbing alcohol settle on your desk! Wipe it off immediately, it ruins the surface!
UPDATE: 5 months later
I'm going to be blunt on these comments. I decided to update my review because I recently recommended this desk to a friend of mine and couldn't help but see the negative reviews. Most of them were regarding the poor quality/craftsmanship of the desk. In my opinion, the wood feels sturdy, period. I put a lot of weight on my desk, but of course, only on top of the parts where the legs are under the desk, never in the middle. I do this not because the middle sections are weak, but because I'm sure that's the logical thing to do. Another issue I saw on the complaints had something to do with their results after assembly. I am going to be honest and say I have no idea how these people's desks resulted in the manner they have in their photos. I'm a short skinny Asian guy and assembled this desk alone with no help, by just following the instructions. Yes there was one instance where a hole was supposed to be at a certain spot, but wasn't there. All I did was drive the screw in anyway, surprise there was a hole there, just covered, God knows why. I guess I am kind of suggesting that people who have f'd up their desks, might or probably f'd up following instructions. That or they got one of the lemons, it happens, tell Amazon, they'll help. I don't think it warrants people to just dismiss the product and say, this desk is shit don't buy it.
Oh and when everyone said the corners and edges are sharp, that one's true. This desk has blades for edges, I covered it with electric tape. whoop dee doo, moving on. So to summarize:
actual CONS:
- razor sharp edges
- can't let liquids air dry on the surface, it will ruin the "paint"
