Two years ago, I ordered these Copco turntables in a 12 inch and 2 of the 18 inch, but never used them. Now, I've moved into a home with much more cabinet space and will be able to utilize them better. I've now added 4 of these 9 inch turntables for some extra narrow cabinets to help this short old woman better reach her items when needed without a step stool. I enjoy the kitchen better when I can be spontaneous and not plan an attack on how to reach stuff without a stool or crawling on my old knees... ; - ) The rubber-like surface is really great for keeping items from sliding around while spinning the table, which was what first caught my eye, plus the raised edge. Everything stays where you put them. These are sturdy and hold weight very well. **Concerning measurement of the turntables, the width is taken literally outside edge to edge, losing around 3/4 inch of surface space, due to the raised edge. Also, remember that most cabinets have hidden recessed space due to the face frames configuration, like mine that have a 7 inch opening, but 10 inch inner space. I was able to use the 9 inch turntables simply by inserting the table diagonally, as shown in my posted picture, with plenty of wiggle room to spare. IMO, this brand is solid and I would order again without hesitation.
