Palm sized battery pack with Qualcomm 3.0 Charging
Just a disclosure that I purchased this juice pack for the full retail price with no discounts. But if you can find a discount for this, do it! It's an improved version of their previous one and it'll be the last battery juice pack you'll need until 2018 probably. I'll explain below.
WHY YOU SHOULD GET A QUALCOMM 3.0 QUICKCHARGING BATTERY JUICE PACK
2016 is a great year for mobile phones. Particularly so if you're an android user. With most flagship phones shipping with qualcomm processors, you'll soon find yourself with a device with Qualcomm Quick Charging 3.0. This is huge because most of these new phones claim up to 80% charge in 15 minutes. Gone are the days of wall huggers.
ENTER THE ANKER POWERCORE 10,000
This matte black and palmable battery pack is ANKER's single port version of their QC 3.0 charger. With a mid-range capacity of 10,000mAh, it should fully charge most phones about three times. It's a must have for any power user.
PERFECT SIZE & WEIGHT
Some of you may have noticed but this is ANKER's second version of their PowerCore 10000 with 3.0 QC, and if you're curious about the difference, it's really just the size. This new version is slimmer and easier to palm, however it is a tad bit longer. It's definitely a plus since it'll now fit in your hands and pocket easier. It's as long as two AA battery lengths and one AA battery wide.
What I've noticed is that it's small enough to palm both the battery pack and my Galaxy S7 Edge in one hand. This should make it easy to charge on the go.
STANDARD INPUT CHARGING
As this was the newer version, I was hoping ANKER would have added a quick charging input so it could charge up as fast as it could put juice out. Unfortunately, this doesn't have it. It only charges as fast as most standard chargers. I had it plugged into a QC 3.0 Charger and it was only charging at 5V 2A. From completely drained to full took about 5.5hrs at 5V 2A. This is the only room for improvement I could see for this battery pack.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS?
Yes. I would definitely recommend this, but particularly if you're an Android user. QC 3.0 will be the new standard in 2017 and all other battery packs will be considered obsolete/slow.
