I've been playing this game for 5 years as of this review. It IS completely free to play. You have the option to make purchases, but it is not required to enjoy the game. I would, in fact, caution against making purchases because once you do, you've opened a door that is tough to close. You'll want to not just play the game, but collect the tanks as well. You'll end up owning hundreds of them and most of these will sit, unused, in your garage. Don't do it! The game itself is a lot of fun, especially when your team communicates well and back each other up. The gameplay is easy to pick up and hard to master, and the graphics look great. Wargaming recently updated the graphics, and while it's nice, I don't think it was necessary and there are people who don't have the latest greatest devices that can no longer play, which stinks. That said, most people should be able to run it. I recommend this game. Don't buy anything. Don't think too much about your stats and just have fun. It's the best tank game out there in my opinion.
