Good, but my second choice.
I bought and tested five oven thermometers, including:
• Taylor Classic Series Large Dial Oven Thermometer ($6.12)
• CDN DOT2 ProAccurate Oven Thermometer ($9.00)
• Rubbermaid Commercial Products Oven Monitoring Thermometer ($5.95)
• Admetior Kitchen Oven Thermometer ($15.99)
• Winco TMT-OV3 ($7.32)
The Taylor was quite good. It was both accurate and responsive. On readability, I ranked it 3rd out of the 5, because the numbers are not bold, and the hash marks are too close, due to its range from 100° to 600°. The large face (2-5/8") did help with visibility. It is not NSF certified, and in the end I rated it a close second overall to the Rubbermaid, which is NSF certified and, even though 1/2" smaller in diameter, seemed more readable though the oven door, due to the bold print.
