This is a really great platform bed. I think there are a few minor problems with this however Pros: -Leaves a lot of space under the bed for plastic storage bins, or to hide a vast magnitude of dirty laundry -Sturdy bed, my wife and I are not small people and we have no fears of this holding together for us including if we were to express our inner child and pretend it was a trampoline -a good amount of support across the mattress with no rough edges, I don't believe this is going to harm your mattress in any way over time whether you have a flip pillow top or a single sided mattress. I use a 15" memory foam king size personally. Cons: -slick top, your mattress can slide around if its not too heavy -because of the slick top it makes it really difficult to get a bedskirt to stay in place when putting the mattress over it. -I would prefer it was just a bit higher as some XL bins don't fit - Multiple supports in the middle, while they are necessary to keep the frame lighter, they make it a bit more tricky to organize longer boxes. It works, its just not as functional as I would like -Assembly takes a while, and the tools are poor. If you have an impact driver with an allen head it goes much quicker but be careful not to strip the screws as they can mis thread or over torque easily.
