This game is easily the best strategy game on mobile, period. Though you quickly understand the basics of the game through the tutorial it has depth in the size, scope, and variety of strategies that go into every level. From the levels with specific objective based on historical scenarios to all out war spanning the entire world, and half a century of conflict. I love how the game let's you play as almost any nation on either side for these wars, giving you rewards based on how much of an underdog you played as. The rewards are split into two categories. Materials you use to upgrade unit types, and construct the wonder locations. Unlockable landmarks giving you essential buffs. And the all important medals that allow you to recruit various troop commanders that will make or break your army. Every commander has a ton of skills and stats, and represent every style of play. Here's the cons. First off, these resources are not only scarce, but there is an absolute limit to how much you can possibly get. The upgrade materials you can get, but once you get medals, you cannot get them by replaying missions. The meta game is never wasting medals, nit using them to upgrade existing commanders, and only saving up for new ones. But upgrading the units themselves can bridge the gap. I also hate that achievements and wonder do not have clear unlock requirements. Just play and maybe unlock things that determine your success in the game. I will also address the AI. Ally AI is incompetent, they will always get creamed no matter which side your on. And it's totally in purpose. You, and you alone have to win. Despite these flaws, I've put over 100 hours into this game, because it's core gameplay is the best. Combining detailed maps, diverse troops, and often overpowered commanders fighting to get an edge with almost limitless combinations of skills make this the ultimate game of world conquest.
