My cat looooves this scratcher. Immediately upon opening it and setting it down for her she hopped on it and started scratching and rubbing it. She didn't even need the catnip incentive to do so either. She continues to use it, and not my furniture, every day. I've had it for about a month now and the top side is still holding up well. I don't have pieces of cardboard all over the place. And when she finally does wear out the top side, it can simply be flipped over for her to attack the other side, in order to double its lifetime. I've tried multiple different kinds of carpeted upright scratching posts and my cat would not go near them (even with catnip rubbed on them), but for less than ten bucks purchase of this scratcher lounge, my cat is no longer ruining my furniture, and seems to be more than happy to scratch, rub, and sleep on this every single day. Great buy! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
