I have a non-verbal teenage son with a severe developmental disability + autism who loves music. He likes kids toys like baby einstein and I wanted to get him something more age appropriate because he's 16 now. Unfortunately, he puts EVERY toy/electronic in the shower and we have to keep them locked up or they are ruined in just a few days. I bought this for him for his 16th birthday and he carries it with him constantly. I charge it overnight and it's ready to go the next day. I have a google play account set up with his favorite music and I connect it via bluetooth from my chromebook. This allows him to carry it around wherever he goes in the house, I can tell exactly where he is at all times and on a few occasions when I could not find it after he fell asleep, I was able to have our iphone pair with it, called the iphone and it rang through the speaker so we could locate it. It has an amazingly long battery life and only once did he burn the power all the way down, and that was on a night I forgot to recharge. This is, by far, the best present he has ever gotten. He loves it and no longer plays with the toddler music toys. When offered a choice, he always picks this speaker. He takes it in the bath and shower and it still plays. It is absolutely waterproof.
