Duo-film works best, no doubt... but read for the best tips
Honestly can say, duo-film has been the ONLY thing that works for me. I had about 5 warts on my toes, with some between the toe in the "webbing" and 2 plantar warts on the bottom of my big toe. I tried Compound W discs with the little dots you stick on and cover with the disc, they worked so-so. With Duo-Film, between experimentation & reading others advice, I am going to give you some tips for the best results with this product: 1.) Apply duo-film and always let it thoroughly dry. It takes 10 minutes (at least) usually. You can test it by lightly touching area, and you will quickly know if its FULLY dry yet. When its FULLY dry, apply more Duo-film. I only apply Duo-Film twice. 2.) Do NOT put on the discs until the product is completely dry, like I said above. If you touch it and the bubble of dried product "pops" or oozes, it aint dry. Wait longer. 3.) Ive noticed, for the best results, you really do have to apply this crap twice a day. So when you peel off the disc, let it dry for a few minutes. Then: 3.a) Buy a cheap pair of nail clippers at the store that you will intend to throw away and never use to cut nails. 3.b) Gently and carefully, clip away the dead white skin with these cheap nail clippers. DO NOT go too deep, you should not be drawing blood for crying out loud! You just want to clip away the deal skin. 3.c) Its IMPORTANT to know that you should NOT pick at the dead skin with your fingers - the HPV virus that causes warts can be in the skin, and you can spread more warts to your hands!!!! Always clip your dead skin over the toilet or a garbage can and WASH your hands thoroughly after. 4.) After you have clipped away some of the dead white skin, apply Duo-Film and repeat every day. 5.) For a hard wart on top of my toe, I had to file it with a foot file (that I intend on ONLY using for this, and am throwing it away after) and then I applied the stuff. After experimenting a little, these hard to treat little buttheads are going away. Duo-Film pretty much annihilated my plantar warts in 2 applications. I had been to my dermatologist and racked up a $500 bill and they couldnt even get them to budge. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT over-tighten the cap, it will break. Then the alcohol and other ingredients will evaporate quickly and you will be left with nothing. If you run out of the little discs, you can use duct tape or regular bandaid. I tried some stupid nexcare flesh-colored tape and it sucked. Just trying to save you money, thats all. Other than that.... I never soak the wart beforehand like they recommend. This process takes long enough and I believe I have tweaked it on my own to be very effective. If I can think of anything else to add, I will edit my review but thats about it. Good Luck!!!
