So there I am dozing off on my couch late at night on a random weekday in early August. I have Jimmy Fallon on the tube in the background easing my way into a blissful night’s sleep. I was literally minutes from shut down and hear this clapping on the TV. The clapping turned into humming; my head started swaying, my shoulders started moving, and before I knew it there was a full out one man dance party going down. The funk and soul emanating from the TV could only mean one thing; the second coming of James Brown. The dance moves being thrown down on the stage by Mr. Rateliff was only further evidence of the rapture taking place. That was my first experience with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. I’ve listened to this album twice now and it’s an absolute hit. I’m sure there will be at least a dozen more plays before the weekend is through; 5 stars and 100% must purchase. I can’t wait to see them live
