It’s a weirdly good blanket. I’m a furnace when I sleep, even with an ac and ceiling fan on. With a traditional blanket I feel like I’m going to combust, with no blanket I’m not comfortable enough to stay asleep. This blanket is a welcomed reprieve. The best way to describe it is that it’s weird. It’s no thicker than maybe a couple of sheets but has the weight and structure of a blanket. It keeps my temperature at a very comfortable level but it feels weird as it does it. You can feel the cold of the air outside of the blanket but yet you don’t get cold. It’s almost like a tease. The heat just dissipates. My girlfriend falls into the stereotype of being cold very easily and needs/wants warmth at night to sleep. She used my blanket and didn’t need to add a comforter. I was shocked. Her words to describe it, “it’s weird”. I recommend this blanket. Now listen closely, do not wash this and put it in the dryer. I ordered a king size blanket for my queen bed because I wanted extra so my girlfriend couldn’t hog all of it. I read the reviews about how people tried to dry it. The guidelines specifically say, do not use in a dryer. Without a dryer this thing does not dry easy. I tried everything and nothing worked. I ended up throwing it in the dryer but on delicate and low heat. It’s now queen sized. It will shrink! Luckily it is still a good size.
