These are my favorite “first spoon” - they are also one of my go-to shower gifts for new moms. The shape of the spoon is perfect for little mouths. The material is soft, yet firm enough to actually eat with - think silicone spatula. Another added bonus of the material is the ease of scraping the last bits of food out of containers. I also like that they can stand up on end, so you never have to lay it down with the mouth end touching the counter or table. (If that sort of thing bothers you) The only thing I don’t like, and this is REALLY nitpicking - there is a slight indention at the base of the spoon bowl that can sometimes capture food. It’s nothing a regular washing doesn’t take care of, but I do pay closer attention to that spot while washing.
