I am using Eargasms as a drummer in band. These have changed the experience in a big way. I bought these along with 5 other well-reviewed earplug brands that are in a similar price range, to see for myself what would work best. I won't divulge the other brands, but all anyone has to know is this - Eargasms turned out to be the best for me for a number of reasons. First, I have tinnitus from years of playing, so I have to be careful anyway. I've been using Eargasms at rehearsals recently and they are truly the best I've found so far at preserving high end clarity as much as possible. I can speak to everyone between songs without having to remove them, which I was never able to do before with any other earplug. It really does feel like everything is just turned down. All plugs like this will attenuate some high end, but these do it the least and I can still hear ghosting and stickwork just fine. I can also sing backup vocals without any trouble, I'm hearing the other vox but also I get a nice level of my own head-voice with Eargasms, and it is working out for me better than our monitors, Being behind a drum kit often means you hear the kit more than the other instruments, but Eargasms bring down the impact level of my kit, and I can actually hear the rest of the band a bit better using Eargasms since the whole noise-floor seems to have been brought down. I feel more relaxed overall which can't be a bad thing for anyone's playing. All in all I am sticking with these. They are a permanent addition to my key-chain. I plan to gig with these from now on. The best part is going home after rehearsals without my ears ringing and feeling less fatigued. All good.
