We bought two in January, 2015 and they have worked very well. I would give it 5 stars for its brightness,reliability and usefulness.However when I had to replace the batteries in one (after it signaled by staying on), it did not work properly, responding to motion but then stayed on and flickered irregularly all night. I discovered that the white plastic cover over the motion detector element was cracked (see photo). This may have happened while I was changing the batteries as it is very thin and fragile and also protrudes beyond the face of the light. It was mounted under the eaves but possibly had been weakende by the effects of sunlight and weather. It was so thin and friable that it broke into pieces like an egg shell. I do not think a replacement is available. Purchasers should be cautioned not to rest the lamp on its face while opening the battery case.
