Good for your money and for your walls!
I only recently got into candles and all sorts of candle-related care and that’s how I found out that any self-respecting candle addict should have a wick trimmer. I also now realize why previously when I lit candles less frequently, there was always that trail of black smoke upon initially lighting the candle after a previous use. Now, that no longer exists due to this wick trimmer.
Using this will essentially give your candle a clean burn. There are no initial black trails of smoke (which eventually could cover your walls with soot from candle smoke) and it makes the head look so much more well kept and cared for. When I first started out, I used nail clippers (since scissors helped until it couldn’t reach further inside). Finally, I pulled the plug and got this since it also helps keep the trimmed-off part of the candle onto the little cutting platform until you can throw it into the trash.
Pricing wise, felt fine. Feels sturdy as well and not cheaply made. Cuts wicks precisely and as mentioned, also catches the cut off wicks so they don’t just drop into the candle. It does come with a sort of angle though so it might work for a lot and might not work for a few others, especially as you reach the bottom. So just be aware.
If you never cut the wicks, I’d highly consider doing so and instead of using typical household appliances, I suggest a specialized tool such as this as it really does help and make the process easier.
