Fat bottomed girls - here's your review!
For we fat and curvy women, buying socks in general is always fraught with danger, and compression socks doubly so. Without measurements like prescription compression stockings, there's a real risk that the expensive socks we just bought will end up being useless. So here it is: a review from a fat chick.
I love them! As you can see in the photo, my calf circumference is a whopping 19 inches. (No knee high boots for me, ever!) And while these are stretched probably about to the max, they fit. And they're not too tight for comfort. I've been wearing them for about 8 hours now, and they just barely make a mark around the top. Nothing is digging in, nothing is pinching, nothing feels too tight, just nice and snug, like they're giving my legs a hug.
I actually wish the feet were just a tiny bit higher in compression; the toes aren't compressed at all, which is good, but I'm not sure I believe the arch is actually compressing at 15mm/Hg. Feels a bit looser than that. But of course since these aren't sized by inches or centimeters, there's no way to make them precisely 15-20mm/Hg on every body.
Super cute cheerful patterns, too. Will definitely get more when these wear out.
UDPATE: 9 months later, and these are still holding up very well. I did buy another similar item (by "Dr. Motion") and I prefer these. I wear them every day and wash every 2 uses, and I've been very happy with how they're wearing. I will still definitely get more when these wear out, but I expect to get at least a few more months out of them. I'd give them six stars if I could.
