Living in Fairbanks, Alaska demands the best when it comes to cold weather gear. It gets down to -40°F and colder almost every winter. Last year I bought my first pair of Bearpaw boots, they were more Ugg-style than these, but HOT DAMN. They were the warmest boots I've ever warn in my life, and believe me when I say I've tried the best brands out there. It's all we buy up here in the Frozen North. Unfortunately last spring my beloved cat felt the need to piss in them, and there was no saving them. I've had my eye on THESE boots for a couple months now, plotting what to replace my other pair with. Now that they're here, I'm SO happy I bought them. They're amazing quality, nothing wrong with them at all. I picked at the clasps (seems to be common damage in the reviews) and they are very sturdy. Yes they are snug for sure at first but you have to let them squish down and form to your feet. They're fluffy wool on the inside, give them time. They fit true to size. Overall I'm extremely happy with these babies, and now I'm looking forward to colder weather, even though I HATE the cold, just so I can wear these and love them even more. ALSO- buy the protectant sprays, they really help keep the outsides looking nice!
