Great card when used responsibly
I have had this card for a year, and I have had nothing but great experiences. I pay the card off completely within the promotion period. The card is setup on auto payments to avoid missed payments. The people that are having bad experiences it seems all have a gripe regarding: They missed a payment (not a bank problem), they didn't understand the terms (again not a bank problem), or they didn't get the line of credit they think they deserve based on their high credit score and multiple other cards.
I am a Credit Analyst with a major financial institution. I, also, teach financial education courses to adults and young adults. Credit cards are lower tier credit and over time the more you have, the riskier you are. The credit score is NOT the only deciding factor in approving credit nor deciding limits. The quicker the American people learn about the proper usage of credit and what goes into making a decision, the better it will be for all of us that have to make these decisions daily. Purchasing a home or a car uses very different criteria than a credit card and being approved for one vs the other does not guarantee approval for the other. In fact, the more things you are approved for and obtain, the more likely you are to be declined in the future. It is very possible for a person with a lower score than yourself to obtain a higher limit than you, if they have less credit currently available to them, as they are less risky. Just a little food for thought. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, if you are a responsble credit card user with only a couple of cards and good credit.
