I really love the direction they took with this, and it was exactly what I wanted and more out of a revival of this story. If you're expecting it to be anything like the movie, make sure you read its genre tags. This is a beautifully scripted LGBTQ+ show that deals with current and past issues in the community as well as the created and stigmatized stereotypes of it and BIPOC individuals. Definitely can't wait to watch the second season.
