I bought this for my Mother who is 95. She was afraid to put any weight on the handle so I told her to use it just for balance as I gave her a shower. I had to remind her a few times not to hang on too tight, but it never moved while she was holding on to it. She is really happy that I bought it and she said she doesn't feel like she is going to fall all the time anymore. I installed it the night before my Mom was to use it. I had read where this type of product had sometimes fallen off the shower wall after a short time and some had not even been used yet. My Mom is very frail and I was so afraid it would come off while she was holding onto it. It has not come off or even budged since I put it on the shower wall. I always check it and make sure it is attached securely before she takes her shower. I highly recommend the Moen LR2308W. I am very pleased with this product and I hope you will be too.
