these are awesome... I bought them for my folks when we were planning a camping trip... and it involved a lot of hiking ... they loved it.. they say if it wasn't for these hiking sticks they would have fallen from tiredness...it's strong and you can adjust it to the height that's reasonable for you and it has a compass and a snow nob attachment ( for walking in the snow, so it doesn't sink in the ground) although they haven't tried it yet in the snow but I think it would work perfectly, I'll keep you posted.
