Multiple Benefits, Very Good Price
I have tried several magnesium supplements in the last 18 months, and I feel like I now have a basis for determining the relative merits of one versus another. BS's lab grade magnesium citrate offers all the mineral's desired effects at a lower dosage; just 3g (<1/2tsp in a glass of water) does everything for which I've come to rely on magnesium (reduce night-time leg cramping, promote regularity, stabilize sleep, vaso-dilator - i.e., pretty much what others have observed in these reviews). Compounds such as Calm are easily more palatable, but one pays a relatively steep premium for the added Stevia and lemon flavoring, receiving in the mix proportionately less magnesium per unit volume and weight. With all due respect to Calm, it, too, is a great product, but BS gets the job done much less expensively. Another advantage to bulk form is it's very easy to fiddle the dose that will end up being right for you. Magnesium citrate doesn't taste bad, indeed, it doesn't taste much as all, but if you're put off by dissolving the powder you can figure out your dose and encapsulate it thereafter. Your sense of taste, however, may be the only part of your body that doesn't gain some advantage from a daily shot of this stuff. Shortly after starting on magnesium I noticed I was more relaxed, better rested, regular as day and, I might venture, in a better mood. A cheap experiment in balancing micro-nutrients has paid off, and it just got even cheaper.
