I just finished a three week trip to Cambodia (a very hot and humid place!)and I packed three of these skirts in different colors. They are great light weight travel skirts and I wore them for much of the trip. They packed very well, did not need to be ironed, could be easily hand washed and dried very quickly. I bought the black,desert and soapstone skirts and the neutral colors paired well with all sorts of tops and you could throw on a silk scarf or whatever to dress them up. They were great for wearing in a hot humid climate- much cooler than wearing shorts and less "touristy" looking. I climbed around temple ruins in them but I also wore them to meetings, out to dinner, etc. They have some little pockets on the outside that can hold your cell phone, some money, maybe a little camera, etc. if you need to, although I always used a purse. One thing to be aware of however, is that the sizes run BIG! I had to return them several times to get them to fit right. I'm 5'3" and plump-ish and based on their size chart I ordered a 12, which ended up being way to big for me, as was the 10. The eight fit well, and fell just below my knee cap. Update Feb 2015: Three years later and I still love these skirts! They look like they did when I bought them. All the positives I said about them in my earlier review still apply. I've had no trouble with shrinking or fading or anything else. I don't put them in the dryer because they dry so fast I just hang them up to dry, so maybe that's why they've held up so well- not sure about that, but whatever the reason, these skirts are great!
