My 8 year old child has always played with gender "norms" and rules. She used to vacillate between a female persona and a male one. Now she prefers female pronouns but has the exact same haircut as the doll we bought (short, blonde) but often does her nails, makeup, and wears gender nonconforming clothes (no dresses, Mom)! I saw an ad for this doll yesterday and purchased it right away. I've never allowed her to play with Barbie Dolls and as soon as this came she was hooked. The doll not only looks like her, but can dress like her, and has a body like her. She says she loves how flexible the arms, legs, and feet are as well. Thank you for making a doll that my daughter can hold and honestly say "is literally me".
