It's Quickbooks, what else is there to say
Pros: If you own a business, you probably already know how to use Quickbooks, therefore you'll already know how to use this software. Cons: If you are upgrading from a version that is older than Quickbooks 2010, you need to contact tech support to request the free Quickbooks 2010 trial version, import your company file into that first, then it will convert to Quickbooks 2010 format. After that, you can import your company data successfully into the 2019 version. This took me an entire day to get resolved, and even tech support doesn't seem to be aware that you need to do this, so I hope that this one sentence saves someone a lot of time. Another issue, when I installed Quickbooks 2019, I got a bunch of error messages whenever I launch it, and you have to press the ok button on the dialog box 20 times before you can see your company data. The way to clear that issue is to run the software once by right clicking on the Quickbooks icon on your desktop, and select "Run as Administrator". That cleared the problem. The software could have been designed better so as to not have that problem in the first place, and that alone is worthy of taking off a star from the rating. Another con is that in this version of Quickbooks, you have to password protect your company file. No way (that I can tell) to opt out of that. Another con is that about every 3 years or so, Intuit forces you to buy the software again, because they stop supporting it. The principles of modern day accounting haven't changed in 100 years, you really shouldn't have to buy new accounting software all the time. But this is how Intuit makes their money, so that is how it is. Another con, with this version of Quickbooks, you have to make an account with Intuit as other reviewers have said. I have no idea what they are spying on after that, or if this is even an issue to be concerned about. Accounting software should not require you to allow Intuit to spy on you. But there isn't any better accounting software that I know of, so I suppose the Gestapo will just have to spy on you, and that's that.
